ET.Cycle F1000 vs F720 vs T720: Which One Should You Buy?

ET.Cycle F1000 folding electric bike with 1008Wh batteryHow much battery do you actually need? That one question sorts out most of the ET.Cycle range, because the model numbers are the battery sizes in watt-hours, near enough.

F1000: the long-range folder

The ET.Cycle F1000 is a folding e-bike with a 48V 21Ah (1008Wh) battery. That is a very big battery for a bike with 20" wheels that folds down for the boot or the hallway. It also gets hydraulic disc brakes. Pick this one if you hate charging, ride long distances, or want to take a bike away in the car or caravan.

F720: the everyday folder

The F720 uses the same folding idea with a 48V 15Ah (720Wh) battery, which comfortably covers daily commutes and weekend rides, and a street-legal 250W motor. Pick this one if your rides are normal length and you'd rather keep the difference in your pocket.

T720: the comfortable fat tyre

The honest trade-off

Folding bikes are brilliant for storage and transport. The price you pay is smaller wheels, which feel a bit busier over rough ground than a full-size bike. If you never need to fold it, you may be happier on the T720 or a full-size commuter. If you do need to fold it, nothing else solves that problem.

Parts and servicing

ET.Cycle bikes use Das-Kit electrics, the same family used on NCM. We stock Das-Kit spares and service these systems in our Alphington workshop.
