Warranty Information
Every new eBike, e-scooter, e-moto and conversion kit sold by Grace & Pace is covered by two layers of protection: the manufacturer's warranty and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. And because we're a Melbourne shop with our own workshop at Alphington, warranty claims are handled locally by the people who sold you the bike — not an overseas call centre.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer's warranty below, and nothing on this page limits them.

What Manufacturer Warranties Generally Don't Cover
- Normal wear items — tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, spokes, grips and saddles
- Normal battery capacity degradation over time (defects are covered; gradual range loss is not)
- Damage from accidents, misuse, neglect or improper storage
- Water immersion (eBikes are water-resistant, not waterproof)
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs — including aftermarket batteries, controllers or de-restriction. Most manufacturers void the warranty entirely if the drive system is modified
- Commercial, hire or delivery-fleet use, unless the manufacturer specifically allows it
Even where a manufacturer's warranty doesn't apply, you may still have remedies under the Australian Consumer Law — talk to us and we'll work through it with you.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact us — call (03) 8542 9500, email info@graceandpace.com.au or drop into 2 Wingrove St, Alphington
- Have your proof of purchase and a description of the issue ready — photos or video help us diagnose faster
- We assess the issue in our own workshop and coordinate directly with the manufacturer on your behalf
- We arrange the repair, replacement or refund you're entitled to
As the retailer, we're your first point of contact for any consumer guarantee claim — you never need to chase an overseas manufacturer yourself.
Keep Your Warranty Valid
Follow the manufacturer's recommended service schedule — some brands (like Benzina Zero, every 5,000 km) require logged servicing for the warranty to remain valid. Our Alphington workshop services every brand we sell, and we keep the records for you.
This page summarises manufacturer warranty terms as published at July 2026. Manufacturers may update their terms; the manufacturer's current published warranty applies. Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
