The DNA is the entry point into the Fatboy world — light, simple and easy to ride — and this build is made in line with EN15194:2017, the European EPAC standard, with pedal assist capped at 25 km/h. In Fatboy's assessment that puts it in line with national EPAC legislation.

It's built for shorter and younger riders who want the Fatboy feeling without the bulk: a compact rigid frame, responsive handling, and a Shimano single-speed setup with no gears to adjust and low maintenance. Still a proper Fatboy though — genuine two-seater with rear footpegs, a 180 kg load rating, and FBX, the power architecture developed with Bafang.

Carrying a kid up front

The Bang Bang Cruiser Set does not fit the DNA V3. For a front kid seat on this bike you need the Fatboy Grom Seat Set V3, or the Fatboy Long Seat Grom Set V3 if you want room for an adult on the back as well.
