Volition KOALA Original Fat Tyre E-Bike

The bike that started it all. The Volition KOALA Original has been Australia's fat tyre icon since 2017 — born in Bondi, designed and engineered locally, and now in its sharpest form yet with the Gen 4.0 update. They call it the Pocket Rocket for a reason: it's a compact, 30kg BMX-styled cruiser with a peak 1000W rear hub motor and 95Nm of torque that makes every trip to the shops feel like a joyride.

What's new in Gen 4.0

• Bigger battery — 52V 16Ah (850Wh) EN-certified pack built on premium Samsung 21700 cells, for serious range between charges
• More compact frame — 1.5cm lower than before, easier to handle and comfortable for a wider range of riders
• Heavy-duty puncture-resistant tyres — 20 x 4.0" Kenda fats with custom tread
• Hydraulic brakes — Shimano MT200 with 180mm rotors and motor cut-off sensors
• Shimano 7-speed gearset — upgraded from single-speed for easier pedalling
• Minimalist LED lights, quiet fenders, kickstand and pedals all included
