Fatboy Bagus: V2 vs V3 and Which One to Buy

Fatboy Bagus V3 Ultra two-seater fat tyre e-bike in Brushed AlloyThe Bagus is the top of the Fatboy range and the one people walk over to first when they come into the shop. Lower, longer and more planted than the Scrambler, it's the Fatboy that feels most like a small moto and least like a bicycle. Here's what you're actually getting, and how the V2 and V3 versions differ.

What makes it the Bagus

A low centre of gravity. That's the whole trick. The Bagus sits lower than the Scrambler and Harlem, which makes it feel sharper in corners and more stable at speed, especially with two people on it. Same 20x4 inch fat tyres, same long two-seater saddle and rear foot pegs, same 180 kg load rating, hydraulic disc brakes all round.

It's the one to buy if you'll regularly carry a passenger, if you ride mixed surfaces, or if you just want the Fatboy that looks and feels the most finished.

Bagus V2

The proven one, and currently at run-out pricing while stock lasts. Nardo Grey or Gloss Black. If you ride mostly off-road or on private property and want the Bagus feel without the V3 price, this is the smart buy. We know these bikes inside out and carry genuine batteries and parts for them.

Bagus V3: three builds

  • EN15194 Certified: built to the European EPAC standard, 25 km/h assist cap that can't be unlocked, throttle to 6 km/h on its own. The one for bike paths, bike lanes and roads around Melbourne.
  • Performance: 500W motor, 95Nm of torque. Stronger off the line, easier on hills. For private property and off-road.
  • Ultra: Fatboy's FBX power system developed with Bafang, plus fully adjustable front and rear suspension. The flagship.

All three come in Brushed Alloy, Gloss Black and White Noise.

Which Bagus?

Commuting, paths and roads: V3 EN15194 Certified. Weekends, beach, bush and a tight budget: V2. Two-up riding on rough ground and you want the best suspension in the range: V3 Ultra.
